Site and landscape designs, or renovated designs, for religious institutions present unique challenges.

Having worked on designs for diverse congregations, the most important lesson has been to listen closely to the interests of each client and provide well-developed access, lighting, and landscape plans for new sites while carefully updating existing sites. Also, the provision of outdoor areas for worship has become more prevalent.
